While retailer PetSmart does not deal in live animals other than birds or fish, it does help people with the responsible pet adoption. Phil Francis, CEO of PetSmart is eyeing little red who, in turn, is eyeing a fire plug. The fireplug-shaped table could easily have been lost in the scene, but being of such iconic importance to puppies, I felt I had to give it a larger role.

Phil Francis avidly supports his alma mater, the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.
